RECORD NUMBER OF GREEN ANODE BLOCKS PRODUCED BY EL 6
March 11, 2025, Moscow: EL 6 produced a record number of green anode blocks in 2024. The total annual increase in anode production by El 6 Novosibirsk and El 6 Chelyabinsk exceeded 40%.
By the end of 2024, the Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk facilities of El 6 manufactured over 100,000 tons of green (unbaked) anode blocks used in electrolysis to produce aluminum.
The company was able to achieve record figures due to the optimization of the mixing and pressing capacity of its facilities. The anode pressing capacity was increased in Novosibirsk: a vibrating press was converted to produce green blanks, a new vibrating mold was purchased, and the production technology was elaborated. A new die mold was installed, and an investment program was implemented in Chelyabinsk.
Also, in 2024 the facilities increased the efficiency of cooperation in terms of optimal distribution of production volumes and provision of raw and calcinated cokes for the production process.
The total manufacturing investments for the two industrial sites amounted to 194 million rubles.
“High figures were achieved not only due to increased demand for anodes but also due to an overall increase in production efficiency. This is a great merit of our specialists,” noted Aleksey Spektoruk, Deputy General Director – Managing Director of El 6.
In 2025, El 6 will continue to retrofit its production facilities and focus its efforts on further increasing the supply of anode blocks.
